1 Corinthians 1:9 (NKJV) God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

There is an emphasis upon the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. And the emphasis or the exclamation point, if you will, should be Christ living His life through us who believes in Him. Make no mistake about it, God is faithful to complete the good work He started in us because we are called unto the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ. We have the high calling of God to enter into a partnership, a personal relationship, a fellowship with our Lord Jesus Christ. This is without doubt the greatest privilege that is given to believers. If by faith you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then Jesus is willing to have an intimate relationship with you. What does it mean, then, to have an intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ? It means we own things together with Christ. We are joint heirs with Christ. And all that we own belongs to Jesus Christ. What we have is His. And we ought to thank Jesus for all that we have. Secondly, what Christ is interested in, we are to be interested in. And the Lord Jesus Christ is interested in doing His Father’s work. Likewise, we ought to be interested in doing God’s will. Obedience to God and serving God should not be a reluctant chore for us. We ought to be glad, joyful, happy and willing to complete the task that God has ordained us to do. Also, we have a mutual devotion with Christ. His resources are ours, and ours are His. We ought to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is our reasonable service. Friend, we are His. And this should answer all the questions about what we can do and where we can go. Whenever you are thinking about doing something that is doubtful to be in accordance with God’s Word, you ought to remember that Christ belongs to you and you belong to Christ. Give Him a life that is pure, free from blemish, give Him the best of you, at all times. And finally, we have a mutual service with Christ. We love Him because He loved us first. For while we were yet enemies of God, Jesus died on the Cross for the payment of our sins, to reconcile us unto Himself. By Christ’s redemptive power on the Cross, God pours out His grace to all who will believe in His Son Jesus Christ. How wonderful that is my friends. For we stumble a lot, and sometimes deliberately. But our Lord and Savior will neve let us down. Why? Because His sacrifice on the Cross was complete. Jesus said “it is finished.” It covers all of our sins, past, present and future. The solution to all our problems in life, my friends, is a personal intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. We can depend on the faithfulness of God “by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” We can face all of life’s problems with the Lord Jesus Christ. We can count on Him. We can look to Him. Jesus is the answer to the problems, worries and frustrations of life, my friends.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
