Galatians 5:25  (NKJV) If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

“If we live in the Spirit,” meaning if Christ lives in us, that is if we truly repented of our sins and turned to Christ for forgiveness. And accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior. Then we have died with Christ and was raised with Him by the power of the Holy Spirit of God who gives us a newness of life through Christ who dwells in us. So, from now on we shall not live after the flesh and we shall not serve sin. Rather we shall live with Christ by letting Christ live in us, that He may produce in us and through us the good works that God has ordained us to do. For “if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV). God has given us a new life so that we may live for Him. This is to live in the Spirit. It is the only life that we have now as a child of God. Since our life is now in Christ, we need to “walk in the Spirit.” Meaning, we need to be like Christ. Our life ought to declare without a doubt that we are a child of God. For “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God” (Romans 8:16 NKJV). We are God’s children, and we ought to represent Him well by letting the Holy Spirit transform our mind, our character, and our heart, so that we may grow towards spiritual maturity and live fully a new life in Christ. For this reason, God has given us the Holy Spirit so that our relationship with Him will never change. We will always be a child of God. And this is the key my friends to serving God, and to presenting our life as a living sacrifice to God. We need to remember who our Father is, and remember who He made us to be in Christ. We are God’s children because of what Christ did for us on the Cross over 2,000 years ago. So, my friend, let your life declare who you really are. You are a child of God.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
