Acts 11:22-23 (NKJV) Then news of these things came to the ears of the church in Jerusalem, and they sent out Barnabas to go as far as Antioch. When he came and had seen the grace of God, he was glad, and encouraged them all that with purpose of heart they should continue with the Lord.

The church in Jerusalem hears of how the Holy Spirit of God is moving mightily in Antioch. So, they sent Barnabas to Antioch. The work of the Holy Spirit is so great in Antioch, that it becomes the second center of the church. And later the center of the church actually shifts from Jerusalem to Antioch. Barnabas is a good man, full of the Holy Spirit, and full of faith. All believers ought to be known for the wonderful chrematistics. Barnabas becomes the pastor of the Antioch church, and the congregation grew. As the church grew, Barnabas realized that he needed an assistant pastor. So, he traveled to Tarsus and brought Saul to Antioch. For a whole year, Barnabas and Saul preached at the Antioch church, teaching a great many people the gospel of Jesus Christ. The people grew in their faith, and they were called Christians. For they were the followers of Jesus Christ. And they loved the name, for they loved their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And it is a name my friend, that all of us should also exemplify with our lives. Such that, we simply show how much we love Jesus. Let the Holy Spirit of God move mightily in your heart, and you will be able to express your love for Christ in many wonderful ways.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
