James 5:13 (NKJV) Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms.

The afflicted are to pray. The merry are to sing psalms. The burdened are to pray. The weary and tired are to pray. The cheerful are to sing psalms. What James is saying is that we don’t have to put on a false front when we enter into the presence of God. The suffering are to pray. The joyful are to sing psalms. But in either case, our Lord and Savior is there for us. Christ is our Comforter, and He is our joy Giver. In every circumstance of life, good times and bad, we can go to the Lord in prayer and in worship. We can enter into God’s presence with songs of praises and in earnest supplications. We can come to Jesus with a burden heart or a joyful heart, for He wants to be brought into all of our cares and joys of life. We should see that God wants to be part of our entire life. He wants to have a personal loving and caring relationship with us. So, through it all, remember “that all things work together for good to those who love God.” We should see God’s hand in all our circumstances in life. And we should know that God is looking out for us. For God has a purpose for us, and He is faithful to see it through till the day of Christ’s return.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
