Psalm 95:5 (NKJV) The sea is His, for He made it; And His hands formed the dry land.

The LORD is to be praised “For the LORD is the great God, And the great King above all the idolatrous gods of the heathen” (v. 3). “In His hand are the deep places of the earth in the sense that He owns them; The heights of the hills, the mountain peaks, are His also because He formed them” (v. 4). “The sea, the mighty oceans, is His, for He made it; And His hands formed the dry land, His hands shaped the continents and the islands” (v 5). All of creation shouts out “come and worship the LORD, the Creator of the heavens and the earth.” And a second, more personal and intimate, call to worship is given by the psalmist in verse 6: “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.” We should worship and praise the LORD our Maker. “For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand” (v. 7). “Today, if you will hear His voice: “Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, As in the day of trial in the wilderness” (v. 8). God is calling us to worship because we are His people through faith in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. For we have seen God’s marvelous work of creation, and He has delivered us through all of life trials and tribulations. And we are beneficiaries of His abundant grace through the shed blood of Jesus Christ our Redeemer. Through Christ, God has reconciled us to Himself. And we are now children of God. But God also warns us against an evil heart of unbelief. For unbelief, my friend, leads to destruction and death.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
