1 Kings 4:25 (NKJV) And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, each man under his vine and his fig tree, from Dan as far as Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.

During the time of King Solomon’s reign, it was a time of security and safety. It is missing in today’s world, for “There is no peace, Says my God, for the wicked” (Isaiah 57:21 NKJV). But real and everlasting peace is coming on the earth when the Lord Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace returns. In Solomon’s day every man was living comfortably on his own property from the northern border to the southern border of Solomon’s kingdom. There was peace for all the days of Solomon. Peace is what everyone wants today. Inner peace, peace with man, but I wonder if man wants peace with God. Peace is often tied to a covenant. So, true peace can only come from God. For people’s actions and attitudes changes according to their situations and desires, but God never changes. Thus, ultimately peace is a gift from God. The peace that Christ can give us reflects on our obedience and faith. For again, there is no peace for the wicked. Deceitful men speak words of peace, they say “peace, peace” but there is no real peace. Real peace only comes by Christ’s redemptive work on the Cross. By the shed blood of Jesus Christ, we are reconciled with God. And that peace that only Jesus can give us will keep our hearts and minds secure. My friend, let the peace of God rule in your heart today and forevermore.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
