Matthew 11:28-30 (NKJV) “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

This is a message from Jesus to the individual. It is a personal invitation for you and for me to find the “rest” of Salvation. Jesus is saying “come to Me, and I will rest you.” Jesus will remove your heavy burden of sin. And He will reconcile you unto Himself. All you have to do is believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and accept the free gift of eternal life through Him. Salvation is in a person. Christ is Salvation. In Christ alone, by faith alone, by grace alone we are saved. The Lord Jesus Christ is the object of our faith. Anyone who has Jesus is saved by God’s grace. Repent of your sins. The burden of it is to heavy for you to carry. Lay it down at the foot of the Cross of Christ. Jesus bore it for you, and He can forgive you because on the Cross He bore the burden of your sins. Agree with God, call sin for what it is. It is sin. And turn to Christ for Salvation. Salvation is a gift. It is unearned, unmerited, and unpurchaseable. We serve a just and righteous God. And God had to do something about sin. And He did. Because of Christ’s finished work of redemption on the Cross on Calvary, God has reconciled the world unto Himself. All who would believe in Christ His Son will not perish but have eternal life. This is the rest of Salvation that comes from knowing that the penalty of your sins has been paid in full by the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the rest that Jesus gives, it is the rest of Salvation. And this rest of redemption is our motivation to submit to God’s will, to turn over control of our life to Christ. It is our motivation to live for Christ by letting Christ live His life through us, for this is how we can fully experience the rest that Christ alone can give us. This does not mean that a Christian life is a bed of roses. But we do not have to bear our problems, worries, hardships, sorrows, and heartaches alone. Because we are in Christ and He is in us, and He gives sufficient grace for every time of need.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
