Daniel 2:20-23 (NKJV) 20 Daniel answered and said: “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, For wisdom and might are His. 21 And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding. 22 He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, And light dwells with Him. 23 “I thank You and praise You, O God of my fathers; You have given me wisdom and might, And have now made known to me what we asked of You, For You have made known to us the king’s demand.”
We as believers ought to be like Daniel. We need to be prayerful. It helps us to know God’s will. God alone can reveal to us His purpose for our lives. And we ought to thank God for giving us that wisdom. For with the wisdom that we receive from God through prayer and through His Word, we are well equipped to face life challenges as we are led by God through our journey of life. God had given Daniel the interpretation of King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. It was an image representing the four Gentile kingdoms that would exercise rule over the Jewish people. But in the end the Lord Jesus Christ will destroy all of Israel’s enemies, and He will rule over the whole earth. And the kingdom of God will stand forever. Our Lord Jesus Christ is coming again, and He will setup His kingdom and He will judge all His enemies and He will reign over all His people and there will be true peace here on earth. Until then, my friends, “let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful” (Colossians 3:15 NKJV). The peace of God ought to govern our hearts, for it gives us guidance in life. My friends, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ called us to enjoy His peace, both as individuals and in the body of Christ.
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
