1 Thessalonians 5:9-11 (NKJV) For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.

God has not appointed us to the day of wrath which He will pour out during the Great Tribulation. For it is a time of judgment. All who belong to Christ will not go through the Great Tribulation because Christ bore our sins on the cross on Calvary. Christ took our judgment, He was our substitute. Christ has already paid the penalty for our sins. In Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior, we have already been judged. God saved us by the shed blood of His Son Jesus Christ. By God’s grace we are covered with the righteousness of Christ. And when Christ comes to take those who by faith believe in Him out of the world, we are going to be raptured along with all the saints because of the grace of God. God’s plan of salvation was made before the beginning of time, because God has not destined us for wrath, the Great Tribulation, but for salvation through His Son Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. By the grace of God, Jesus Christ His Son died for us, that whether we live until Christ’s return or go through the doorway of death, we shall live together with Him for all eternity. This is a wonderful truth. And we ought to be glad and rejoice in it. We ought to praise and give thanks to God, for He did not appoint us to wrath. This truth is a comfort for all who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, in light of Christ’s imminent return and the consummation of our salvation in heaven, we should exhort one another by teaching the entire Word of God, by encouraging one another to continue on in Christ, by setting the example for one another as we live for Christ, and by building one another up and strengthening each other’s faith with the love of Christ. Just as we are doing now, my friend.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
