Luke 15:18-19 (NKJV) I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.”

Now we get to a really bright picture of that lovely home. It is a beautiful home. It’s the Father’s house. The Lord Jesus said, “In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:2 NKJV). And our heavenly Father is there looking for our coming. Why? It is because He knows that one day we will come to our senses and then turn to His Son Jesus Christ for salvation. Once saved always saved. This is a true and faithful statement, because of what Jesus Christ did for us on the Cross on Calvary over 2000 years ago. It is also true that Christians can fall into sin. But a true child of God will not remain in the pigpen of sin. Because God our heavenly Father is in His house, so to speak, and He is watching, and He says, “All My children are coming home. They don’t like pigpens because they do not have the nature of the devil. They have the nature of Christ Jesus My Son. They have My nature. And they won’t be happy and content except in the Father’s house. And no matter how stuck they are in the pigpen. If they are truly My children, they will one day say, “I’ll go to my Father” and they will arise and come home to Me.” And when God our heavenly Father sees us coming to Him, He runs out to meet us with His wonderful mercy and grace. And He warps His mighty arms around us with love. An agape love which only the Father can express. This beautiful picture reminds me of that wonderful song we sing at church, by Hillsong, the chorus goes like this, “Who the Son sets free. Oh is free indeed. I’m a child of God. Yes I am. In my Father’s house. There’s a place for me. I’m a child of God. Yes I am.”

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
