Psalm 119:15 (NKJV) I will meditate on Your precepts, And contemplate Your ways.

The Word of God provides an endless resource for the most satisfying meditation. When God’s Word is kept in the depths of our hearts, it is manifested in our lives. Don’t simply read, know and understand God’s Word. Be sure to apply the Word of God to your life. For “To read without reflecting is like eating without digesting” (Edmund Burke). It does us no good to “eat” God’s Word and not “digest” it. We need to apply the Word of God to our lives in order for it to provide us nourishment for our spiritual growth. In order for us to grow spiritually, God’s Word must take root in our hearts and in-turn our lives. We need to commit ourselves to God. Meditate on the Word of God, consider its well nature, excellency, usefulness and importance. And submit to them. For applying God’s Word to our lives implies action. Devout yourself to observe and obey them. Look unto God’s Word and take heed of them, and walk in them, and keep them. And in so doing, the way of the Lord will guide your ways. The Holy Spirit of God will faithfully guide you into the will of God by drawing out the Word of God that is rooted in your heart and using it to transform your life.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
