1 Chronicles 16:36 (NKJV) Blessed be the Lord God of Israel From everlasting to everlasting! And all the people said, “Amen!” and praised the Lord.

Although under the reign of Saul the sacrifices and worship had not been a continuing practice, the people of Israel kept the way open to God. And now David organizes the worship. The ark is back in Jerusalem, and David appointed Levites to carry on in continuous worship of Jehovah before the ark in Jerusalem. And before the tabernacle and the altar of burnt offering in Gibeon. We do not know all the names of David’s top advisors or all who were in his inner circle. But we are told the names of those who will worship before God and carry on the spiritual matters of his kingdom. At Jerusalem David designated singers, door-keepers, and trumpeters, all under the direction of Abiathar. And in Gibeon David gave the responsibility of officiating the worship to Zadok. David organized the move of the ark back to Zion, and he organized the worship of Jehovah. And he pronounces a blessing on His house. This closing prayer is similar to Psalm 106:47-48 which says “Save us, O Lord our God, And gather us from among the Gentiles, To give thanks to Your holy name, To triumph in Your praise. Blessed be the Lord God of Israel From everlasting to everlasting! And let all the people say, “Amen!” Praise the Lord!” This prayer anticipates the prayers of the faithful remnant of Israel during the Tribulation, prior to the establishment of Christ’s glorious Millennium Kingdom. My friend, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!” (Psalm 150:6 NKJV). And we say to Him, “All Your works shall praise You, O Lord, and Your saints shall bless You” (Psalm 145:10 NKJV).

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
