Matthew 24:14 (NKJV) And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

John the Baptist preached “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 3:2 NKJV). This message was the heart of our Lord Jesus’ ministry. From the very beginning of His ministry He preached “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 4:17 NKJV). And in Matthew 11:28, Jesus tells us how to do it. Jesus said “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” How is Jesus able to do this? It is because “just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28 NKJV). This is the message that we are to share today. The message of salvation, the gospel of Jesus Christ. That is salvation through Christ alone and by grace alone. Because Jesus died for us on the cross, God the Father can now extend His grace to all who will believe, by faith, in His Son Jesus Christ. We are all sinners needing a Savior. We all need Jesus. For He is God’s perfect Lamb who was sacrificed as our substitute for the payment of our sins. God extends His grace to the world, but we must come to Him by means of His Son Jesus Christ. “For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12 NKJV). Jesus made this very clear to all. He said “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6 NKJV). This is God’s plan of salvation. God is the author of salvation. And our Lord Jesus fulfilled it. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 NKJV). The Lord Jesus is “the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29 NKJV). My friend, God never saved any one based on them keeping the Law. For the Law was given “that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God” (Romans 3:19 NKJV). The Law points out our sins, and it points us to Christ for salvation. You and I are lawbreakers, we are sinners needing a Savior. Our hope is in Christ. We need to receive the Lord Jesus as our Savior. For the Lord Jesus will come again. And either He is coming as your King or as your Judge.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
