Psalm 121:2-8 (NKJV) 2 My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. 3 He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. 4 Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand. 6 The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night. 7 The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. 8 The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore.
When you stand firm in God’s Word, God will not allow you to move in a feeble or unsteady way. God will keep you upright in the righteousness of Christ on the straight and narrow path towards heaven. For when you are looking to God for help, He will be your keeper and He shall preserve you by His wonderful keeping power of grace and mercy. We “are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation” (1 Peter 1:5 NKJV). As you travel in your journey of life look to God to keep you. He is a glorious assurance of safety, comfort, strength and love. Life is filled with ups and downs, curves and turns, but through it all, we can rely on God for help. He will make our path straight. For when you “In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:6 NKJV). Truly Christ is our salvation. He will not let you totter and fall. “For the Lord will be your confidence, And will keep your foot from being caught” (Proverbs 3:26 NKJV). God will not let you fall. But you may say, “I have run so far away from God, and done so many sinful things.” Listen what God says about those who have gone astray, “Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the Lord upholds him with His hand” (Psalm 37:24 NKJV), “He will guard the feet of His saints” (1 Samuel 2:9a NKJV). God “is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy” (Jude 24-25). The Lord is the keeper of Israel and He is the keeper of His own today. God is always watching over you. He does not slumber or sleep. God will preserve you day and night. “The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore.” No one is as secure as those who has received the Lord as their only hope. For “the soul that on Jesus hath leaned for repose, He’ll never, no never desert to his foes. That soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake, He’ll never, no never forsake!” – Richard Keen (1787).
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
