Psalm 118:24-29 (NKJV) 24 This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. 25 Save now, I pray, O Lord; O Lord, I pray, send now prosperity. 26 Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! We have blessed you from the house of the Lord. 27 God is the Lord, And He has given us light; Bind the sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar. 28 You are my God, and I will praise You; You are my God, I will exalt You. 29 Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.

What day is the psalmist talking about? Well, he is talking about the day “which the LORD has made,” the day of salvation. That day is already over 2000 years long, for it started at the Cross on Calvary when Christ died for us. All who are saved by the blood of Jesus will rejoice and be glad in the day of salvation. As if it were a new day, made for the very day that each of us accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. For God has answered our cries of “Hosanna.” Our sincere hearts cried out “Save now, O Lord, Save me now.” And the Lord answered our prayers with His death on the Cross. Christ stepped downed from heaven and clothed Himself in humanity, and presented Himself as our substitutional sacrifice for the payment of the sins of the world. And God the Father was well pleased with His Son’s sacrifice, that He raised Him from the grace on the third day. And Christ is our Good Shepherd, our Great High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of God. It was also the prayer of the people of Jerusalem who cried out “Hosanna” at Christ’s Triumphal Entry. And when Christ returns to establish His Millennial Kingdom, He will judge the wicked and He will gather up His people. And the faithful remnant of Israel shall say “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” For Christ had said “you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’” (Matthew 23:39 NKJV). All of God’s people will cry out “Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” And we will enjoy the wonderful Millennial Kingdom of our glorious Lord and Savior whose right it is to reign. My friend, to fall down and worship the Lord, to praise His Holy Name and to glorify Him is all important. Jesus loves us and He gave Himself for us. May our love for the Lord Jesus Christ go out to Him in deep sincere adoration, praise and worship.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
