1 John 4:14 (NKJV) And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world.
This is the testimony of the apostles. It is the gospel that we have to give. This is the message of salvation that we have to share. This is the purpose of the love of Christ within us. Not any type of love, but the agape love of God that reveals itself when we take Christ to a lost world of sinners. That is the way we manifest God’s love. God the Father has sent His Son as Savior of the world. This is divine love in action. And God created His plan of salvation before creation, before the beginning of time, before He said “let there be light”, before He said “let us make man in our own image”. God loved us even before anything existed. It is hard to figure out why God decided to sacrifice His Son for the sins of the world, for my sins and yours, long before the universe was created. This kind of love is hard to understand. It is a love so amazing, that Jesus Christ, God Almighty, our Lord, our King would die for me and for you. Yet Jesus made it very clear to Pontius Pilate, and to us, that it was the purpose of His first coming. Jesus said to Pilate, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice” (John 18:37 NKJV). And to this day the voice of our Lord and Savior is heard around the world. Many missionaries take the truth of God’s Word, the gospel of salvation, the love of Christ to a world of lost sinners. Because they love people just as God loves people. For this is what a true child of God does, because the love of Christ is within them. Love is why God sent His Son. Share the love of God, my friend, this Christmas and every day of the year.
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
