Philippians 4:13 (NKJV) I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

We can do all things in Christ. Meaning we can accomplish the will of Christ for our lives when we abide in Him. For the power to do God’s will is supplied by Christ who dwells within us. Christ gives us the power to exercise the gifts we are given by the Holy Spirit. For spiritual gifts are a manifestation of the Spirit of God in our lives. As long as we function in Christ, we will have power to do the things we are supposed to do. But we are absolutely helpless when we are not abiding in Christ. Many people ask “How can I do God’s will?” And the answer is simply by abiding in Christ. For if we say we are believers then we are members of Christ’s body, and He is the Head. If God is in control of our lives, then we stay in His will. But we fall outside of God’s will when we take control of our own lives. We can do all the things that God has planned for us, all the things that He has ordained us to do, when we abide in Christ. He is the One who will strengthen us and enable us to do all that is in God’s will for us. Not anything that we want to do. Rather, Christ will enable us to do all things that are in accordance with God’s will for us. We have the power, the ability, to do God’s will when we abide in Christ because Christ is our power. But the moment we stop abiding in Christ by our own willfulness, or by lack of fellowship, or by sinning, we lose the power to do God’s will. But if we remain in Christ, we can do all things that God wants us to do. For the Lord Jesus Christ said “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you” (John 15:7 NKJV). It is essential to abide in Christ. For Christ is the power in our lives. There is joy, there is satisfaction and delight in doing God’s will. In order to do what God wants us to do, in order to stay on the track that God has laid out for us, we must abide in Christ. And the key to abiding in Christ is to seriously study the Word of God. For that is how we get to know Jesus Christ and God the Father who sent Him. It is how we can enjoy eternal life right now.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
