1 John 3:2 (NKJV) Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
The wonderful part of becoming a child of God is that we become a child of God at the moment we accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. There is no 90 days waiting period. There is no test to take, no courses to take, no degrees to earn, no ritual to go through, we become a child of God right there and then. When we have truly accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we are anointed with the righteousness of Christ through the filling of the Holy Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit of God is the one to seal us, to mark us and to confirm us, as children of God. And the Holy Spirit is the one to transform us into the likeness of Christ. To which God is faithful to finish the good work He has started in us. So, while we are not perfect, God is still working on us. Therefore, we are not to be discourage by one another for we all are works in progress. “But we know that when He is revealed”, that is when Christ returns, “we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.” This is simply wonderful. God is the Potter and we are the clay. He is working out His master piece in us. God sees in us what He will make us out to be. This is why we should not be discouraged with one another, for God is not through with me and you. People can’t look at me and see God’s completed master piece. And neither can I see God’s completed master piece in them. For God says, “It was not yet been revealed what we shall be.” But God sees us as we shall be when Christ returns and we shall be like Him. What a glorious day that will be. When we will see the glorified Christ. And God’s master piece in us will be completed. We will be like Christ. Not equal to Him or identical to Him, but like Him in our own way with our own personalities. In other words, we will still recognize each other, but we will be like Christ in full measure and stature. And thus, it will be wonderful in heaven because everyone will finally love everyone. This ought to be a great incentive for us to continue on with Christ. Because God is still working on us. So, don’t be discourage by my faults, and I won’t get discourage by your faults. Rather we ought to be “confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you [and me] will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6 NKJV). For when Christ returns, “we shall see Him as He is.”
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
