1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NKJV) Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4 NKJV). If you are a child of God, you can rejoice evermore in the Lord Jesus Christ. Our rejoicing should be in what God has done, continues to do, and will do for us in the future, regardless of our circumstances or feelings. Our hope is in the Lord, for He is our rock and our salvation. He is our defense. And we shall not be moved. “Pray without ceasing.” This is essential for us to stay dependent on God’s grace. For it is easy for us to want more worldly blessings rather than spiritual blessings. Because we often confuse worldly success with divine blessing. When we have that heart condition, a prideful heart, then passionate longing for God and yearning for His help will be missing from our Christian living. This is why it is important to pray regularly and to be constantly in an attitude of prayer. Because continual, persistent, incessant prayer flows out from a humble heart that is dependent on God. And when we pray, we are to give thanks to God in all circumstances, and all of the time. My friend, rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give thanks to God in everything. “For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
