Hebrews 10:37-38 (NKJV) “For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”

Some folks act as though the Lord keeps putting off His coming, that He is tarrying. Let us be clear about this, the fact that Christ has not yet return does not indicate that He is tarrying. Rather it is an indication of the longsuffering of God and the abundance of His grace. God the Father knows exactly when His Son Jesus Christ will return. It is on His calendar to come, so to speak. No one knows accept for God alone, the day and the hour when Christ shall return. But we can be sure that Christ will come again on the very day that God the Father has scheduled His second coming. It is as certain as Christ’s first coming. And what should we be doing while we are waiting for Christ’s return? “Now the just shall live by faith.” We are to be putting our faith into action. We are to be living out our faith. Why? Because we have a living Savior. God is not dead. He is alive. Christ died on the Cross for the payment of our sins, and He was raised from the dead on the third day. And now He is seated at the righthand of the Father in heaven. We have a living intercessor at the righthand of God. We have a living God and a living Savior at God’s righthand. Therefore, we shall live by faith. And how is this done? Remember that our faith is not a leap in the dark. It rests squarely on the Word of God. The just shall live by faith on the entire Word of God. We are to be steadfast securely anchored in the Word of God. For a life that pleases God is a life of faith. A life lived by faith is a life that values God’s promises, that sees the unseen, and that perseveres to the end. On the other hand, a life that is displeasing to God is a life that rejects the Lord Jesus Christ. A life that is lived according to the flesh. A life of sin. God has no pleasure in him who rejects His Son Jesus Christ. My friend, God’s grace is superabundant, but there will be a time when God will end His longsuffering. For Christ shall return as LORD of lords and as KING of kings. Christ shall come for His own, and He shall judge those who have rejected Him.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
