Psalm 104:24-26 (NKJV) O Lord, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all. The earth is full of Your possessions – This great and wide sea, In which are innumerable teeming things, Living things both small and great. There the ships sail about; There is that Leviathan Which You have made to play there.
The variety of God’s works is staggering. The earth is full of God’s creatures. Land, sea and air, God’s creatures flourish because God made each one with precise details for their sustainment of life. From the largest of animals to the smallest of microorganisms, they all exists because of God’s wisdom in designing them all. God created each one specifically and carefully placed them in specific environments in which they can live and play. Here the psalmist concludes that the Genesis account of creation is reliable and correct, life on Earth was designed by God. The evidence in nature all around us supports this conclusion of the origin of life, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1 NKJV). This opening statement of the Bible affirms God as the Creator. And answers the fundamental questions of our existence: How did we get here? Where did we come from? Why are we here? And What happens to us when we die? First, God created all things and all things living out of nothing simply by His spoken word. But when it came to the creation of man, God formed man in His likeness with His very hands and breathe life into him. We are God’s personal master piece. And therefore, in God we find our purpose. But sin separated us from God. However, through the Lord Jesus Christ’s life, death and resurrection we are reconciled with God. In Christ we are saved, we have purpose, and we have a hope for a future life with God in eternity.
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
