Isaiah 58:11 (NKJV) The Lord will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

God wanted to bless the Israelites. If they were only upright in their ways. Then when they would call upon Him, He would answer “Here I am.” If they would only stop being unjust, stop blaming everyone else but themselves for their wrong doings, stop their scoffing, and stop their slandering. Then God would bless them. God would turn their darkness into light. They would enjoy His guidance. God would supply their needs. God would give them good health, He would strengthen them both physically and spiritually. God would restore them as a nation, and they would bear much fruit. This is directed to the people of Israel. However, it does have application for us as believers as well. We should not cease to do what is right. Our ways ought to be upright before the Lord. We should not fall short of entering into His rest, that is to worship and praise Him with our lives as a holy sacrifice. All that we do ought to bring honor and glory to God. If we delight to honor God, then we will delight in the Lord who gave us the ability to do all that we do. Are you my friend resting in God? Are you completely and fully trusting in God? And are you honoring God with your life? God wants us to fully trust Him. God wants us to fully trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for our salvation. To enter into God’s rest will bring great blessings, and it will open up many opportunities to serve Him. These wonderful things God will bestow upon us, if we enter into His rest. And no one can hinder Him from doing it. Nor can anyone stop the Lord Jesus Christ from returning for all who have rested in His salvation.

God bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
