Luke 24:34 (NKJV) saying, “The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!”

This is the good news that the disciples told the two who met Jesus on the road to Emmaus. They did not realize it was Jesus until He opened up their eyes. And they hurried back to Jerusalem to tell the disciples the good news. But before they could share their joyful news, the disciples jubilantly announced to them that the Lord Jesus Christ had really risen and He had appeared to Simon Peter. And the two from Emmaus joyfully confirmed Jesus’ resurrection saying “Yes, we know, because Jesus walked with us on the road to Emmaus, and He came into our home. And He revealed Himself to us in the breaking of bread.” These are two wonderful eyewitness accounts of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. The resurrected, glorified Savior wants to fellowship with those who are His own. Jesus will only fellowship with those who believe in Him. For they want to know of the things of God. And that is what Christian fellowship is all about, it is sharing the things of God. To have true Christian fellowship, Jesus must be in the midst of it. And the Lord Jesus Christ wants to have one-on-one fellowship as well. When it comes to matters of the heart, when there is something in our lives that needs to be straightened out, when we need strengthening and encouraging the Lord Jesus Christ restores us and rejuvenates us privately and personally just as He did with Peter.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
