2 Corinthians 5:7-8 (NKJV) For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.

Why was the Apostle Paul so sure that when we leave this body, we will be instantly present with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? It is because a child of God walks by faith. Meaning we simply put our trust in God because we know that we can trust in His Word. We know that God means what He says, and He says what He does. We can count on His promises. We can take God at His Word. Faith is trusting God. We are not physically in God’s presence now, because we are in these bodies. But when we leave these bodies, we will be present wit the Lord. We will be home with the Lord. Remember our Lord Jesus Christ returned to heaven after His resurrection to prepare a place for us. It is like the song says, “In my Father’s house there’s a place for me.” Our bodies are put to sleep, but our soul goes to be with Christ Jesus in our Father’s house. And one day we will be given a new glorified body when Christ returns. Knowing these things, we confidently walk by faith that one day we will see Christ face-to-face, and we will then walk by sight, for our faith will be realized in the presence of our Lord.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
