Psalm 27:6 (NKJV) And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.

When we realize all of the wonderful things that has done for us, it will put a song in our hearts. All of the provisions that God makes for the encouragement and confidence of all of His children will light up our hearts with joy. And it will lead us into a prayer of an exuberant declaration of Faith. It will lead us into a prayer for help and spiritual sustenance, for we have every assurance that God will provide all that we need to overcome our enemies. Just as when the temple guards took our Lord Jesus Christ to Caiaphas, the high priest (see Matthew 26:57). “Now it was Caiaphas who advised the Jews that it was expedient that one man should die for the people” (John 18:14 NKJV). However, it was Caiaphas’ intent to have Jesus killed not for the sake of the people, but as an enemy of the Jews. Nevertheless, our Lord Jesus Christ was anticipating a more glorious outcome. “And now My head shall be lifted up above My enemies all around Me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD.” Even as Jesus stood on trial for His life before Caiaphas and the Sanhedrin who were determined to have Him executed, Jesus was delighting Himself with anticipations of glory for the joy that was set before Him, the Cross of redemption, reconciliation and salvation. So, Jesus said to Caiaphas, “It is as you said. Nevertheless, I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven” (Matthew 26:64 NKJV). Jesus asserted His Messiahship and deity. In essence Jesus is saying, “I am the Christ, the Son of God. You see Me now veiled in human flesh, the Son of Man, but the day is coming when all the Jews will see Me as the glorified One, the Son of God, equal in all respects with God, sitting at His right hand and coming on the clouds of heaven.” Jesus makes it absolutely clear that He is the Son of God.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
