1 Corinthians 10:2-5 (NKJV) 2 all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, 3 all ate the same spiritual food, 4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ. 5 But with most of them God was not well pleased, for their bodies were scattered in the wilderness.

The Bible tells us that in the end times the church will be filled with wolves in sheep’s clothing. For even among those who came out of Egypt with Moses were people who simply went through all of the motions, so to speak, but they did not really believe. And “God was not well pleased, for their bodies were scattered in the wilderness.” We ought to be careful of wolves among the sheep in churches today. Don’t be led astray by them to turn your back on the Truth, for God will not be pleased with you as well. These false teachers and their followers are great pretenders. They can say and do all the right things but still they are not true believers. We have liberty in the interpretation of God’s Word. But privilege is no insurance against failure. Many get it wrong but claim to be right because their interpretation fits their agenda. And they deceive the masses while enriching their ego, pride, status, and bank account. But in the end when Christ returns, they will be turned away, for Jesus will say to them “I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!” (Matthew 7:23 NKJV). They will cry out “Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?” (Matthew 7:22 NKJV). Even at the end they will not repent from their deceitful ways, and they will even try to deceive Christ Himself. But Jesus knows that they did not believe in Him. Many people go around praying “in Jesus’ name,” but they do not believe in Him. Be careful my friend of these false teachers and pretenders. It is important that you identify yourself with the True Christ, the only begotten Son of God, the incarnate Christ, the resurrected Christ, the Lord Jesus Christ who is seated at the right hand of the Father. By whom we are filled with the Holy Spirit of God and baptized into the body of Christ. It is important then, that we identify ourselves with the True Christ, for our salvation depends on it. The Son of God, the Son of Man, the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ went through the waters of death. And we are brought through it as well by Christ’s death for we are identified with Him. And now we are identified with a living Savior who intercedes for us in the throne room of God the Father. That is the way baptism saves us. When we trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God the Father, then the baptism of the Holy Spirit of God puts us in Christ. If you get it wrong, because you refuse to submit yourself to the leading of the Holy Spirit of God by choosing to follow false teachings, then God will not be pleased with you. And in the end, you will be left behind, like those who were overthrown in the wilderness for they did not truly believe. For the truth of God’s Word is made available to all who will hear the voice of Christ and follow Him. And the Holy Spirit of God will unveil their hearts and open up the Scriptures to them.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
