Hebrews 13:8 (NKJV) Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
There is no accident in the Word of God. The Son of Man, the Messiah, has a human name. It is Jesus. The Son of God, has a title. It is Christ, that which speaks of His deity. Jesus is the name which connects the Son of God with mankind. The name Jesus identifies Him as the most wonderful person in this world, “for He will save His people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21 NKJV). Christ is His title which speaks of His messianic mission. He is the Incarnate Christ. He is God manifest in the flesh. His name is Jesus, and His title is Christ. “Jesus Christ” what a marvelously beautiful name it is. He is Jesus Christ, and He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Jesus is the same in His character, in His person, and in His attributes. And now He is at the right hand of God the Father in heaven. “Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens” (Hebrews 8:1 NKJV). And we are to be “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2 NKJV). “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 NKJV). What a beautiful name it is. Jesus Christ our King. “You were the Word at the beginning. One with God the Lord Most High. Your hidden glory in creation. Now revealed in You our Christ.” “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12 NKJV). The Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption over two thousand years ago, and He sat down at the right hand of God the Father. Right now, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is in heaven seated at the right hand of God the Father. And one day He will return to this earth as King to establish His Kingdom. Our Lord Jesus Christ has not yet called His church out of the world, but some day He will. You see, the name Jesus links Him to humanity. Christ is His title, it speaks of His deity. The Lord Jesus Christ is the same in His attributes. He is wonderful, my friend, and you ought to know Him that you may know the power of His resurrection. My friend, this ought to be our ambition: to know Him and to get out His Word.
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
