Proverbs 13:9 (NKJV) The light of the righteous rejoices, But the lamp of the wicked will be put out.

The testimony of the righteous is like a light that burns brightly and cheerily with life and hope. But this is what God says of the wicked: “The lamp of the wicked will be put out.” It happens again and again throughout the history of this world. It will be done again in this present age and in the future. There are two court rooms in heaven, so to speak; the Judgment Seat of Christ known as the Bema Seat of Christ, and the Great White Throne Judgment. Romans 14:10-12 (NKJV) says this about the Bema Seat of Christ: “But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written: “As I live, says the Lord, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God.” So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.” And 2 Corinthians 5:10 (NKJV) tells us: “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” This court room my friends, the Bema Seat of Christ, is for all who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God Who paid the penalty for sin and Who was raised from the dead and is alive, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father. All true believers will stand before the Bema Seat of Christ and give an account of their lives, good and bad, to the Lord Jesus Christ. But not for salvation, rather for rewards: the crown of righteousness for those who have lived a good and righteous life in Christ; the incorruptible (victor’s) crown for those who strive to do more for God with love; the crown of life for those who undergo hardship, testing, tribulation or even death for Christ; the crown of rejoicing for those who share the message of salvation to the lost; and the crown of glory for those who bring up others into the knowledge and understanding of God and teaches them how to apply God’s Word to their lives. We who believe in the name of Jesus and all that is implied in His name will have to give an account of our lives to Christ. Knowing this my friends, we ought to be doing what is right according to the Word of God. The other court room in heaven, if you will, is the Great White Throne Judgment. It is the place of the final judgment for unbelievers prior to being cast into the lake of fire. My friends, “The light of the righteous rejoices, But the lamp of the wicked will be put out.”

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
