2 Corinthians 6:1-2 (NKJV) We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain. 2 For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
We are workers together with the Lord Jesus Christ. Meaning, all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, God the Son, the Messiah ought to work together to carry out Jesus’ commandments. And two of them are: love one another, and sharing the message of salvation. Now, as there are many in the body of Christ, there are many different spiritual gifts. We ought to use the spiritual gift we were given to work together as one body to effectively share the message of salvation. God gives a gift to all who believes in His Son Jesus Christ. We are all workers together for the Lord Jesus Christ. We all are responsible to share the Word of God for the purpose of introducing Christ to others and to make disciples out of them, so they may also in-turn go out an introduce Christ to others and make disciples out of them. And in-turn they will do the same. All believers are responsible to witness for Christ. My friends, what are you doing to get the Word of God out to others? We are workers together, my friends. And we are not to receive the grace of God in vain. Meaning, we are not to receive God’s great goodness and to rejoice in the salvation of the grace of God and yet live a life of sin. We have not been given freedom in Christ to freely do whatever we please. We ought to live for Christ, not for worldly things. Unfortunately, this is happening a lot today. Many people are bringing in worldly things into the churches today. The church is not a place for carnal Christian to display their worldly life style. The fact of the matter is, being a carnal Christian is not the response of a true Christian to the love of God’s heart. My friends, we ought to help others to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. But we can’t do it, when our own lives do not testify of the life changing power of Christ. This may be one reason people say “I won’t accept Christ right now. I will do it later.” But for whatever reason people postpone coming to Christ for salvation, it is better to do it now than later. For God says “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” My friend, if you do not know Christ as your Lord and Savior, now is the time of your salvation. Now is your time to accept Jesus Christ, the Son of God, as your Savior. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 NKJV). Your time to be saved, to have everlasting life, is right not my friend. Accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
