Hebrews 10:36-39 (NKJV) 36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: 37 “For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry. 38 Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.” 39 But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.
Patience and faith go hand-in-hand in Scripture. Patience and faith are key to endurance. Which is the determination to remain steadfast in Christ during trials and tribulations. To remain under the persecutions for Christ’s sake rather than escaping them by denying Christ. For if we are determined to do the will of God, we will receive the promised reward. The reward that we will receive when our Lord Jesus Christ returns. The Second Coming of Christ is on the Father’s calendar. Christ Jesus, the Son, will come on the day appointed by the Father. It is as certain as Jesus’ Frist Coming to this earth. He will not tarry. Therefore, we who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, God the Son, ought to be busy completing the tasks that God has ordained us to do. So that we may remain steadfast in Christ by faith. For “without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6 NKJV). We ought to live by faith for we have a living God and a living Savior at the Father’s right hand. My friends, a life that pleases God is the life of faith. “Now the just shall live by faith.” When we live by faith, we value God’s promises, we see the unseen, and we persevere to the end. And our lives will be pleasing to God. On the other hand, a life that is displeasing to God is that of a man who renounces the Messiah, God the Son, Jesus Christ and denies His deity. And returns to a false god. To this man God says “My soul has no pleasure in him.” For those who deny the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ are lost sinners. They are not saved. The Lord Jesus Christ, God the Son, separates apostates from genuine Christians. As true believers we are not immune to discouragement, persecution, hardship and depression. But since we have a living Savior, God the Son, Jesus Christ who is seated at the right hand of a living Father, God, we can preserve and endure by faith in God; the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. My friend, “Let us go on. Let us go on for God!” For “if God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31 NKJV).
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
