Matthew 5:14-16 (NKJV) 14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

We who have the light of Christ in us are also the light of the world. Certainly, because we are to reflect the light of Christ onto the world. We are to be a light for those who are in the darkness of this world. Remember, Christ is the Light that reveals God’s plan of salvation. How then do we reflect the Light? By sharing the Word of God to those who are lost. The Word of God is the Light that we can shine forth. It is very easy to do, if the Word of God is kept dear in your heart. Let the Light that is within you shine onto the lost, then introduce them to a Bible–teaching church. Simply do your part in the body of Christ to get the Word out. That is how you can be a light in the world. Simply let Jesus shine in your life that you may glorify your Father in heaven. Glorifying God should be our prime motivation for getting the Word of God out. And being a light in the world should be natural for us, because we have Christ dwelling in our hearts through the Word of God. And the Word of God is being used by the Holy Spirit to transform our lives. Therefore, our lives exhibit the traits of Christ, and it cannot be hidden. Our faith produces good works which can be plainly seen. As such, when people see our good works, they can see our faith and they see Christ our Savior. My friend, our transformed lives in which Christ is seen speaks louder than words we say.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
