Genesis 6:13-15 (NKJV) 13 And God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth. 14 Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch. 15 And this is how you shall make it: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits.
The people of the earth had fallen away from God, but God promised them a Redeemer. God promised the people a Savior. But the people did not turn back to God. The lives of Adam and Methuselah bridged the entire gap from Creation to the Flood. They certainly give a revelation from God to all mankind. Then Enoch preached and prophesied the truth of God. Noah also preached the truth of God while building the ark. When Enoch was taken up into heaven, it should have been a sign for the people. And when Methuselah died, the people should have known the Flood was coming. Finally, there was also the ministry of the Holy Spirit. But the people did not repent of their wicked ways. Their hearts were totally turned away from God. There were a great number of calls for repentance, but the people did not heed them. Only Noah and his family believed in God. Noah was a man who trusted God by faith. For 120 years, from the time God told Noah to build the Ark to the time of the Flood, Noah believed God. God is still calling people to repentance today, and sadly a great number of people are not heeding His call. Just as in the days of Noah, God is giving people of today ample opportunity to turn from their wicked ways. But sadly only a few are turning to God. My friend, a day of God’s wrath and judgment is coming. We are told to repent and believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, for our salvation. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved” (John 3:16-17 NKJV). The question is, will you come to God on His terms? For Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6 NKJV).
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
