Psalm 42:8-11 (NKJV) 8 The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, And in the night His song shall be with me—A prayer to the God of my life. 9 I will say to God my Rock, “Why have You forgotten me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?” 10 As with a breaking of my bones, My enemies reproach me, While they say to me all day long, “Where is your God?” 11 Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.
I am sure many of us feel this way from time-to-time. We know that God is there with us and for us, but we still feel all alone. Do you feel that way sometimes? If you are like me, then I am sure you have felt this way before. It is not until the end of our trials, that we realize that the trial strengthened our faith. So, by day and by night God’s faithfulness is proven. Then a new trial begins and once again discouragement returns, and we wander around like a forgotten child. Once again, we ask “Where are you God?” But then the Holy Spirit of God reminds us that our help comes from the LORD, the creator of the heavens and the earth. And in our desperate need for help, we turn to God in faith. My, friend, don’t be unsettled by trials and tribulations. Put your hope in God and you will find rest for your soul. God will deliver you through your trials and tribulations. And you’ll praise the Lord Jesus Christ once again as your Savior and your God. For God is ever faithful and His love is everlasting.
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
