1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NKJV) 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Rejoice means more than to be happy. Rejoice here means to joy in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is the same meaning that is presented by the Apostle Paul when he “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4 NKJV). We are to rejoice in the Lord always. And take note my friend, it is not a joy that is generated by emotions. Meaning, the life circumstances and situations does not determine the level of our joy. Joy is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. How does the Holy Spirit produce this fruit in you? It is when you are walking with your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. So, it has been said, real joy is a person. And that person is the Lord Jesus Christ. If Jesus is your joy, then no one and no life circumstances and situations can still your joy. Jesus is your strength. He is your power. Jesus is your joy. We are to radiate joy always for Christ dwells within us. And to maintain in constant connection with God, we need to pray regularly and extemporaneously when the need arises. This is what it means to have a constant attitude of prayer. And having a constant attitude of prayer will help us to give thanks to God always in all life circumstances and situations. For “this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give thanks in everything.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
