Titus 3:4-7 (NKJV) 4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

God sent His Son to die for us, not because of our works of righteousness. Understand fully, that we were enemies of God when Christ died for us on the Cross. And know that God came up with His plan of salvation before creation. Which makes our Lord Jesus Christ’s death on the Cross even more remarkable. We were God’s enemies, and God did not have to create us. Jesus said yes, He would die for us before creation. Truly, there is no greater love than His. By Christ alone we are saved, by faith alone. This is how we are saved. Our salvation is secured not by our good works and certainly not by our own righteousness. But by what our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ did for us on the Cross. “According to His mercy He saved us.” Because Jesus paid it all, God the Father is prepared to extend mercy and grace to us. It is by God’s grace that He saved us. And God is rich in mercy and grace, which means God has plenty of it. More than enough to save the world. Whoever you may be, and whatever you may have done, no matter your situation in life, God can save you because Jesus Christ His Son died for you. Jesus paid the penalty for your sins and He covers you with His righteousness. Jesus died for us, so that we might live. If you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then “through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,” you are born again into the family of God. And the Holy Spirit uses the Word of God to cleanse us daily and to renew our minds that we may become more like our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. So, that we may be ready at all times for the return of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. This is for us, the blessed hope of eternal life.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
