Psalm 90:3-6 (NKJV) 3 You turn man to destruction, And say, “Return, O children of men.” 4 For a thousand years in Your sight Are like yesterday when it is past, And like a watch in the night. 5 You carry them away like a flood; They are like a sleep. In the morning they are like grass which grows up: 6 In the morning it flourishes and grows up; In the evening it is cut down and withers.
God returns man’s frail body to the dust from which He made man. Even if you lived to be a thousand years, that is like a watch in the night. It is still represented by a dash in between two dates on a grave stone. Life here on earth is so brief compared to eternity. This is the frailty of life. Man does not live forever. If we are not alive at the time of Jesus’ second coming, then our bodies would have been laid to rest back into the ground from which God made us. And when Jesus returns, those who are asleep will rise first, then we who are alive will follow and we will meet Jesus in mid-air. And we will be given new glorified bodies. My friends, as Christians, we are looking forward to being with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior for all eternity. And we have that hope of being reunited with our love ones who loved the Lord.
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
