Romans 3:24 (NKJV) being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
There is no reason within us for God to extend His grace to us. God does not offer us grace because of our own righteousness. It is not because of who we are. It is not because of the things we do. There is no basis within ourselves for God to extend to us grace. Nothing at all. Now, we may think that we are such wonderful people. But knowing myself well, I know it is not the case. And it is not the case with all believers my friends. For the Bible is clear about it, “There is none righteous, no, not one” (Romans 3:10 NKJV). We are justified freely, without a cause. It is “by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus” that we are saved. It is by grace alone by Christ alone that we are saved. There is no merit on our part. Our salvation is all God’s doing. God came up with His plan of salvation before Creation. God set it into action. God sent His Son Jesus Christ to fulfill it. Jesus took our place on the Cross. “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV). God reconciled the world of lost sinners unto Himself through the shed blood of His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus death on the Cross was God’s love for us in action. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved” (John 3:16-17 NKJV). The reason why God is able to save us is because Jesus Christ redeemed us. Jesus took upon Himself our sins and gave us His righteousness. This is how we are justified by faith. Jesus paid the penalty for our sins, and we are placed in Christ. The Apostle Paul said it this way: “and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith” (Philippians 3:9 NKJV). My friends, the burdens of our sins are lifted off of us when we come to the Cross and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior. In Christ alone through grace alone is the way God saves us. We have no merit within ourselves that would cause God to save us. “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)” (Ephesians 2:4-5 NKJV). Salvation is only available in Christ Jesus. It is as Peter said, “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12 NKJV).
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
