1 Timothy 6:11-14 (NKJV) 11 But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 13 I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate, 14 that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ’s appearing,

Righteousness, godliness, faith love, patience and gentleness these are the virtues that a man of God should pursue. For these virtues will help a child of God to “Fight the good fight of faith.” Our faith may be acted outwardly by others or inwardly from within ourselves. We may be attacked verbally, physically, mentally or spiritually. But no matter the method used by the enemy to attack us, we ought to stand firm in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and “lay hold on eternal life.” We are to make it clear by our lives that we are a child of God “who gives life to all things.” Even unto death, we are to stand firm in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior, for in Him we have eternal life. Therefore, we are not to be afraid to bear witness to the Truth, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Just as Jesus was unafraid before Pontius Pilate. Jesus said to Pilate: “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice” (John 18:37 NKJV). Pontius Pilate asked “What is truth?” All that Jesus spoke about God, Himself and the Holy Spirit; the Triune Godhead, the Trinity is the truth. All that Jesus spoke about man, sin and salvation is the truth. All of Jesus’ commandments and promises is the truth. And we are to believe in the truth without stain and reproach. For Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6 NKJV). My friend, if you are following Jesus, then you ought to stand firm in the Truth. Then you will show yourself to be a true child of God.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
