Job 12:7-10 (NKJV) 7 “But now ask the beasts, and they will teach you; And the birds of the air, and they will tell you; 8 Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you; And the fish of the sea will explain to you. 9 Who among all these does not know That the hand of the Lord has done this, 10 In whose hand is the life of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind?

The life of every living creature here on earth, including man is in the hands of a sovereign God who has the absolute power to give life and to take it away according to His will. Everything that has life are under the control of Almighty God. His sovereignty is seen in the life and death all creatures under the sun, including man. The life of every living creature is continued by God according to His will. And God takes it away, as well, according to His will. Life itself is under the care and providence of Almighty God. Our time here on earth is in God’s hands. The time we are born, the length of time we spend on this earth, and the time of our departure from it, are in God’s care. Facing this reality, of the power of God in the affairs of men, Job wants some comfort and reassurance. For even with his understanding of the sovereignty of God, Job still feels that he was dealt with unfairly. And Job longs to appeal to God directly. Such is the case of every believer who goes through hardship and sorrow. Go to God in prayer, my friend. You have a direct line to God, so to speak. You have the privilege of having an instant audience with God, because you are a child of God through the shed blood of Jesus Christ His Son. Approach God boldly in the righteousness of Christ. God will hear your prayer. And He will answer you.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
