Proverbs 5:1-2 (NKJV) My son, pay attention to my wisdom; Lend your ear to my understanding, That you may preserve discretion, And your lips may keep knowledge.

This Scripture is addressed to the young men. Here Solomon is warning his son against one of the besetting sins of a young man. Frist of all, young men who pay attention to sound advice and learn from the experience of others develop true discretion. They ought to learn wisdom. It will help them to stay out of trouble. Second, they are not to defile themselves with sexual immoralities. They are not to satisfy their flesh with sexual sins. They are to abstain themselves from immoralities. They are to remember and keep the covenant of their God. They are not to become a stranger to God, as far as their relationship to God is concerned. The Word of God is the only adequate safeguard against the seduction of the world, our flesh, and the devil. Therefore, my friend, stay in the Word of God, and stand firm on God’s truths.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
