Psalm 74:16-17 (NKJV) 16 The day is Yours, the night also is Yours; You have prepared the light and the sun. 17 You have set all the borders of the earth; You have made summer and winter.

In spite of all the persecution that the people of Israel endured throughout the ages, and to this very day, there will always be a faithful remnant who will say: “For God is my King from of old, Working salvation in the midst of the earth” (Psalm 74:12 NKJV). The faithful remnant of Isreal always find hope and comfort in remembering God’s mighty power on behalf of His people. God is in control, even the day and the night are under His control, and the entire universe exists by His appointment. God separated the seas from dry land, and the seasons are controlled by Him. The faithful remnant of Israel will cry out to the LORD: “Remember this, that the enemy has reproached, O Lord, And that a foolish people has blasphemed Your name” (Psalm 74:18 NKJV). That has been their prayer throughout the ages, and it will be their prayer during the Great Tribulation. Their plight will be desperate and they will implore the LORD not to abandon His faithful people. They will beg the LORD not to forget the covenant which He made with their father Abraham. They will pray to the LORD: “Oh, do not let the oppressed return ashamed! Let the poor and needy praise Your name. Arise, O God, plead Your own cause; Remember how the foolish man reproaches You daily” (Psalm 74:21-22 NKJV). The faithful remnant of Isreal will call on God to move in victory. My friend, this psalm recognizes the sovereignty of God. And it tells us that we can trust God in all our troubles.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
