Philippians 4:4 (NKJV) Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

Regardless of our situations in life, we are to rejoice in the Lord always. How are we to do this? Joy is produced in our lives by the power of the Holy Spirit of God. When we are living a life for Christ, it produces within us a joy that comes from the relationship that we have with our Savior. A relationship which is nurtured by the Holy Spirit of God for He is the One who opens up the Scriptures for us and gives us understanding of them that we may know Christ more and God the Father more. So, that we may enjoy eternal life. (John 17:3). The Joy of the Lord then is a distinguishing mark of an authentic Christian. For true believers are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy (1 Peter 1:8). Therefore, a Christian without the Joy of the Lord, has no power. Because he or she is not abiding in Christ. Jesus said “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you” (John 15:7 NKJV). The source of our power is joy. And our joy comes from a relationship with Christ. The closer we get to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the more we know about Him. And the more we know about Christ, the more the Holy Spirit can transform us into the likeness of Christ. But, in order to have a relationship with Jesus, we must accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Then, we will be able to radiate the Joy of the Lord in our lives. And if the local churches were filled with people with the Joy of the Lord in their hearts, then going to church would be a joy rather than a burden. The devil wants to steal our joy. Because he wants to end our relationship with Jesus. The devil wants to take away our power. My friend, our strength comes from the Lord. Jesus is our Joy. Don’t let the devil take you away from Jesus. This is why the Apostle Paul implores us to “Rejoice in the Lord always!”

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
