Psalm 103:1-2 (NKJV) Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! 2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:

“Bless the Lord oh my soul, Oh my soul, Worship His Holy Name. Sing like never before Oh my Soul, I’ll worship Your Holy Name.” David reveals his heart in this psalm. And it should be the heart of all believers. From deep within our hearts we are to sing: “Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name.” We are to praise and glorify the Lord. My friend, there is a real danger of just going to church, observing the rituals, and imitating a religious attitude. We are warned about this by God in Isaiah 29:13 (NKJV), “Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths And honor Me with their lips, But have removed their hearts far from Me, And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men.” When our praise is nothing more than lip service, it does not please or honor God. Because we are following the principles of men. Our praise ought to be demonstrated by a submission to God’s Word and His will. Our praise should be pure and from the depths of our heart. We have to do more than simply go to church and mouth the truths of God’s Word. We need to live out our faith. What we say with our lips must come from the depths of our hearts so that our lives will reflect the truths of God’s Word within us. Then we can truly sing “All that is within me, bless His Holy Name.” Our ability to do this my friend, comes from the Holy Spirit. If we submit ourselves to the transforming power of the Holy Spirit of God, then we can worship the Lord in spirit and in truth. And let us not forget how God has been so good to us over the years.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
