2 Corinthians 6:2 (NKJV) For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

God say “I have helped you.” How has God helped you? God has reconciled the world to Himself through the shed blood of His Son Jesus Christ. We cannot approach God because we are sinners. The Ten Commandments makes it clear that we need a Savior. God had His plan of salvation all along, even before Creation, Jesus Christ said “Yes, I will die for them.” The Cross was the joy that was set before Him in eternity. It was Jesus’ reconciliation ministry. And God put His plan of salvation into action with the Virgin birth of His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true meaning of Christmas. It is even told to us in our Savior’s name. We call Him Jesus because He saves His people from their sins. Love is the reason why God came up with His plan of salvation. Love is the reason why Jesus Christ stepped down from heaven and clothed Himself in humanity. Love is the reason why Jesus endured the hardships of life. Love is the reason why Jesus made God real to us. Love is the reason why Jesus allowed Himself to be beaten, spit upon, mocked, and nailed to the Cross. Love is what held Jesus to the Cross. But my friends, love is not what saves us from our sins. It is by grace alone, in Christ alone that we are saved. For you see, a Holy and Righteous God had to deal with sin. And He dealt with it in a very personal way. Jesus Christ took our place, He was our substitute, He died for our sins that we might live. Remember that the next time you quote John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” On Christmas to us a child is born, to us a child is given. One marks the beginning of God’s plan of salvation. And the other marks the fulfilment of God’s plan of salvation. Salvation is a free gift. All you have to do to receive it is to believe in Jesus Christ, God the Son, as your Lord and Savior. For by grace alone, in Christ alone we are saved. And if you have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, God is saying the acceptable time to be saved is right now. Come to Jesus and be saved.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
