Matthew 25:13 (NKJV) “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.”

Our Lord Jesus Christ tells us we do not know the day nor the hour of His return. Therefore, we are to be watchful. That is the important thing for us to do. For Jesus could return at any time. Jesus’ return is imminent. There are no other prophecies in the Bible that needs to be fulfilled before Jesus’ return. But of the day and the hour of His return no one knows. It is as Jesus said “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is” (Mark 13:32-33 NKJV). God did not intend for us to know the timing of His plan. Why? One reason might be so that we won’t be lazy and do nothing before Jesus returns. We are to be productive in getting the Word out, the message of salvation because Jesus’ return is imminent. And we are to wait eagerly in perseverance, and keeping ourselves in the love of God as we are “looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life” (Jude 21 NKJV). The Apostle James encourages us saying, “You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand” (James 5:8 NJKV). Our Lord Jesus Christ does not tarry. His return is imminent. This is why Jesus said, “Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect” (Luke 12:40 NKJV). “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ – looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober” (Philippians 3:20, Titus 2:13, 1 Thessalonians 5:6 NKJV). Jesus’ return is imminent. We should be waiting in keen expectation for Jesus to return for His church, all who belong to Him, all who are His own. “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 NKJV). “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.”

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
