Psalm 31:14-15 (NKJV) 14 But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord; I say, “You are my God.” 15 My times are in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, And from those who persecute me.

Are you in trouble? Then go to the LORD in prayer, just as David did in verse 9. David prayed, “Have mercy on me, O LORD, for I am in trouble; My eye wastes away with grief, Yes, my soul and my body!” David was in deep distress. And he turned to the LORD, his Hope and God of his life, for deliverance. This ought to be the heart of every Christian. We can turn to God in our time of need. For we can find unspeakable comfort in knowing that our times are in God’s hand, in the good times and bad. Our times are in the crucified hands of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. Our care and our protection are in His hands. Rejoice my friend, that our times are in His hands. Let our hearts sing with joy this wonderful hymn by William Freeman Lloyd:

My times are in thy hand;
my God, I wish them there;
my life, my friends, my soul, I leave
entirely to thy care.

My times are in thy hand,
whatever they may be;
pleasing or painful, dark or bright,
as best may seem to thee.

My times are in thy hand;
why should I doubt or fear?
My Father’s hand will never cause
his child a needless tear.

My times are in thy hand,
Jesus the Crucified;
those hands my cruel sins had pierced
are now my guard and guide.

And those nail pierced hands are the tender hands of a Shepherd. Jesus picked up a lost sheep and put it on His shoulders and brought him back to the flock. That is what Jesus did for us on the Cross. Jesus reconciled us with God the Father. And Jesus, God the Son, is coming back one day for all who belongs to Him by faith. Jesus will reach out with those crucified hands to bless us. Rejoice, my friend, that our times are in His hands.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
