John 5:24-25 (N KJV) “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. 25 Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live.”
My friends, if you have Christ, then you have eternal life right now. If you have the Lord Jesus Christ, then you will not come into condemnation. We who believe in Jesus have passed out of death into life. Because Jesus Christ is the resurrection and eternal life. And Jesus is the one who is saying “who hears My word and believe in Him who sent Me has everlasting life.” For our Lord Jesus Christ is God, the Second Person in the Trinity, the Triune Godhead. We are living in the period or the age or the dispensation of grace. It is the period that is moving to the time “when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live” (John 5:25 NKJV). But in-order to be able to hear Jesus voice when that time comes, we have to hear His voice now. Meaning in this period of grace, we need to believe in Jesus Christ the Son of God in-order to have eternal life. Just as God has promised in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” My friends, the hour is coming when those who are in the grave shall hear His voice and shall live, and those who are living will also be caught up, that is the Rapture. But the hour is now when those who are spiritually dead hear Jesus’ voice and live. We all were dead in our trespasses and sins. That is the spiritual condition of everyone, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23 NKJV). But then Jesus said, “he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life” (John 5:24 NKJV). The time is now, in this period of grace when Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior gives spiritual life. And the hour is coming when Jesus will call up all who believes with a shout like a great trumpet, like a voice of an Arch Angel, “Come up here.” And those who are asleep in Christ will rise first, and we who are still living will follow and we will meet Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior in mid-air. And we will be given a glorified body. Our salvation will be complete. And we will be with God for all eternity.
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
