1 Thessalonians 5:6 (NKJV) Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

Since the rapture of the church, that blessed hope that all believers watch for, could take place at any time, we should be productive Christians. We ought to be busy doing the will of the Father, God Almighty. We ought to be busy working on Jesus’ commandment to go and share the message of salvation. Sleeping in the pews in the church is not an option for all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. We need to watch and be sober. This does not mean to do nothing and simply look up into the heavens for Christ’s return. Rather, we ought not to be caught up in the things of this world, meaning that the treasures of this world, in whatever form it may be, should not be our main objectives in life. Stay sober, and seek the things of God. Store up treasures in heaven. Get the Word out, the message of salvation. Because tremendous pain, suffering, and persecution are to take place in the Tribulation. The rapture is a separate event from the Tribulation. It is our belief that when Christ returns, He will call His church out of this world before the Tribulation. For we are not meant for God’s wrath. “For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him” (1 Thessalonians 5:9-10 NKJV). No one knows the day or the hour of when Christ will return. But this much is true, as the Apostle Paul said: “And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed” (Romans 13:11 NKJV). It is obvious, that with each passing day, we are one day closer to Christ’s return. Therefore, my friends, don’t be caught sleeping. Be ready for Christ’s return. And get busy getting the Word out, the message of salvation.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
