Luke 21:25-28 (NKJV) 25 “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 26 men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

These things will occur in the last days before the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus is returning for all who belongs to Him, His church, His bride. “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first” (1 Thessalonians 4:16 NKJV). I think these verses 25 through 28, of the gospel of Luke has a reference to the last days before Christ returns to the earth. These things will happen in the last days. There are many things like these that are happening today. Volcanos erupting in all parts of the world. Earthquakes, wildfires, flooding and tsunamis. Out breaks of infectious diseases and viruses. But my friends, “you ain’t seen nothing yet.” Things are bad today, this is true. Political crises and social distress, in all parts of the globe, are cause for great concern. There are a large number of people falling away from God, even with the faithful. But the Bible tells us, things will get much worse in the last days. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ could return at any moment. There is absolutely nothing that needs to be fulfilled before Christ’s return. Are you ready my friends? The only way to be ready is to accept Jesus Christ, God the Son, the Second Person of the Trinity, the Triune Godhead, as your Lord and Savior. For Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6 NKJV). Jesus is the only way to enter into the presence of God the Father. I pray that you are ready, my friends. For, while it is true that no man knows the day or the hour of Christ’s return, we can be sure of our salvation and redemption because of what Christ did for us on the Cross on Calvary over 2,000 years ago. If you have Christ, then you have life. If you don’t have Christ, then you have death. “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you” (Romans 8:11 NKJV). If you have Christ my friends, you are saved. You not only have God the Father’s word on it in John 3:16. But Jesus also said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life” (John 5:24 NKJV).

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
