Isaiah 54:9-10 (NKJV) 9 “For this is like the waters of Noah to Me; For as I have sworn That the waters of Noah would no longer cover the earth, So have I sworn That I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you. 10 For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you, Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” Says the Lord, who has mercy on you.
Just as God made a covenant with Noah, so He now promises that when Israel enters the Millennium Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the faithful remnant of Israel will never experience His rebuke or wrath again. God is not going to break His covenant which He made with Abraham. Isaiah reminds the people of it. God will never break His covenant. You can trust in the faithfulness of God. “Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23 NKJV). God had promised Abraham that He would make a nation out of His descendants. And Israel is the nation. God had promised Moses that He would put them into the promised land. And Israel is the land. In fact, Israel today, is only occupying about a third of the promised land. God promised David that there would come One in his lineage who would reign on the throne forever. And our Lord Jesus Christ is this King and the Messiah. All of the prophets said that God will judge His people for their sins but He would not utterly destroy them. A faithful remnant has always remained, and one day they will enter into the Millennium Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This is God’s promise to the nation of Israel. And God will keep His promise. Because Great is God’s faithfulness. “Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven. Your faithfulness endures to all generations; You established the earth, and it abides” (Psalm 119:89-90 NKJV). My friend, you can trust in God’s faithfulness, because God’s Word is never-ending truth. God has given us His Word, and in it we can see how He brings promises to fulfillment. We can trust in God’s faithfulness. My friend, we can trust that God’s plan for us will prevail. For God has said, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:11-13 NKJV). Trust in God and go to Him in prayer.
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
